Communication and critical thinking play a particularly significant role in a leader given any situation, especially in a workplace. The impact it provides could lead positively if executed properly. Having read the excerpt, the data states that miscommunication leads to expensive mistakes which are definitely frowned upon in the corporate industry as money plays a vital role in the development of a company. The ability to communicate well will reflect on the performance of my team, thus showcasing the ability of my leadership to the higher management.  


Critical thinking is a desirable characteristic in a job as it helps provide great solutions to problems. Thus, using critical thinking for a project at work would get the job done more systematically and in return generates a more concise and precise solution. When the workplace uses critical thinking, it leads to less resentment between the leaders and team members as it breaks down the strengths and weaknesses of the solutions without conflict of bias and aids them into a mutual agreement.
